Brazil is one of the world's largest producers of pineapple (Ananas comosus L.), in addition to being a major consumer of the fruit, whether in natura or industrialized. The most commercially important variety is Pérola, but it suffers a lot from the attack of the fungus Fusarium guttiforme f. apples. The present work sought to evaluate three new hybrid pineapple cultivars (04, 61 and 73) and two already on the market (Pérola and Imperial), propagated by sectioning the stem, in three substrate formulations based on coconut fiber in plastic bags 10L: coconut fiber + sieved gongcompost (S1); coconut fiber + gongcompost retained on the sieve (S2) and coconut fiber + Bokashi (S3). The design was in DBC and the experiment was set up in a 3x6 factorial, where factor A were the varieties (Pérola, BRS Imperial, 04, 61 and 73) and factor B were the formulations (S1, S2 and S3). Regarding the morphological characters of the vegetative development, the following were measured: length of the D leaf, width of the D leaf, plant height, number of leaves emitted and percentage of flowering. The three new varieties showed great potential and are a promising alternative to face the main phytosanitary problem of this crop: fusariosis, since they are resistant to that disease. The substrate formulation based on coconut fiber with the addition of bokashi is a great solution for a sustainable disposal of waste generated in the brewery, as it provided nutrients at an adequate level, with a pH favorable to the culture (acidophilus).
