RESUMO:

OUZA, Amanda dos Santos. Anatomical alterations and absorption and translocation of herbicides as mechanism of resistance in Conyza sumatrensis. 2018. 22p. Doctoral project (Doctorate in Phytotechnology). Institute of Agronomy, Department of Phytotechnology, University Federal Rural of Rio de Janeiro, Seropédica, RJ.

To increase production and better management of the area it is necessary to use herbicides for controlling weeds because they limit the production and compete for the essential resources present in the soil. For plant management most commonly used is the chemical method, with the use of herbicides, however the application of the same herbicide in successive crops, causes a selection pressure, selecting resistant biotypes. Resistance is the inheritable capacity that a biotype has to survive a dose that would be lethal to the remainder population. The specie Conyza sumatrensis, represents today one of the major problems of the agricultural systems, since this specie presents resistance to five herbicides (glyphosate, paraquat, 2,4-D, saflufenacil and diuron) from different mechanisms of action. Facing the challenge, the management of this biotype is of extreme importance for agricultural systems. Therefore, the objective of the research project is to determine if the mechanism of resistance is the anatomy differential, absorption and translocation of the biotype of Conyza sumatrensis and propose management for this biotype. Three experiments will be performed. Experiment I: The experiment will be conducted in a completely randomized design with four replications. They will be evaluated for anatomical differentiation susceptible and resistant biotypes of Conyza sumatrensis. The herbicides paraquat, glyphosate, 2,4-D, saflufenacil and diuron will be applied at doses of 400g ai ha-1, 720g ea ha-1, 1005g ea ha-1, 70g ia ha-1, respectively. The biotypes will be analyzed for scanning electron microscopy and transmission electron microscopy. Experiment II: The experimental design used will be completely randomized design in a 5x2 factorial schema with three replicates. Factor A being five harvest times (6, 12, 24, 48 and 72hs) and factor B biotypes (both resistant and susceptible). After treatment with the herbicides glyphosate and saflufenacil at doses, 720 g ea ha-1 and 70g ia ha-1, respectively, quantitative and qualitative analyzes will be carried out to determine the absorption and translocation of the herbicide in the biotypes. The data generated in the experiments will be submitted to analysis of variance (p <0.05); and being significant means will be compared by Tukey (p <0.05). Experiment III: The experiment will be conducted in randomized blocks with 4 replications. The herbicides triclopyr, 2,4-D, dicamba and halauxifem + diclosulam will be applied in isolation and also in the mix and sequential modalities with the glyphosate herbicides, saflufenacil and ammonium glufosinate. Fluorescence of chlorophyll a and phytotoxicity (non-destructive analyzes); plant height, dry mass of the aerial part (MSA) and dry mass of the root (MSR) will be evaluated. The data generated in the experiment will be submitted to analysis of variance (p≤0.05) and the means compared by the Scott-Knott at 5% probability.
