RESUMO:

Potassium (K) is the nutrient most required by the banana, although it is not part of the compounds in the plant. However, this is essential in the physiological aspects of the plant, acting mainly on the regulation of the water balance, the transport of photosimilates and, therefore, the production and quality of the fruits. In organic management it is not allowed to use fertilizers that undergo chemical processes to increase their solubility, such as potassium chloride, so in this system it is necessary to use alternative sources of K. In addition to nutritional management, banana clump management is important to define the level of plant densities. In the conventional systems of high technological standard the so-called 'Mother-Daughter-Net' is adopted. However, it has been observed that in the less-techy plantings, in most clumps, it is not possible to have at the same time these three types of plants of different ages. Therefore, when adopting the technical recommendation of spacing between clumps, it ends up having a smaller number of individuals per area, which has negatively affected the productivity of the orchard. The objective of this study was to compare the two-follower clone management systems and the conventional 'Mother-Daughter-Net' management for four different banana cultivars from the 'Maçã' and 'Prata' subgroups, and to evaluate the influence of Ekosil® (phonolite) on organic banana cultivation. The evaluated cultivars were 'FHIA 01', 'FHIA 18', 'BRS Platina' and 'BRS Princesa' in the second crop cycle. The experiment was conducted at Agroecological Farm of Km 47, EMBRAPA Agrobiologia, municipality of Seropédica / RJ; (4x2x2) with split plots, the four banana cultivars being the plots and the two types of management and presence and absence of the application of the Potassium and Silicon fertilizer to the subplots, with five repetitions. The height and diameter of the pseudocaule, the number of active leaves at flowering and harvesting, the length of the third leaf, the width of the third leaf, the mass of the stem, the mass of the rachis, the mass of the stalk, number of fruits per cluster, number of fruits per cluster, number of fruits per cluster, number of fruits per cluster, number of fruits per cluster, number of fruits per cluster, number of fruits per cluster, number of fruits per cluster, bunch harvested by clump, average mass of bunch per bunch per one, average mass of fruit per plant per year, estimated yield of one year, in the second batch the mass, number of fruits, length, diameter and mass of the fruit of the five central fruits. The results of the vegetative and productive variables were submitted to analysis of variance and the means were compared by the Scott-Knott test. The cultivar FHIA 01 (Maravilha) was superior to the other genotypes, considering the production parameters as total mass of the bunch, mass of the fruits and productivity. The cultivar BRS princesa was the least productive cultivar, in addition to exhibiting high bearing. The management of clumps with two followers does not influence vegetative growth parameters when compared to conventional management. Conventional management of clumps (Mother-Daughter-granddaughter) presented greater mass of the bunches, of pence and weight of the fruit, when compared to the management with two followers. The fertilization with Ekosil® (phonolite), does not influence the parameters of development and productivity of banana trees  'Prata type and 'Maçã' type
