The contemporary scenario is characterized by several crises derived from the Anthropocene (Crutzen and Stoermer, 2000), a period in which human activities profoundly impact terrestrial natural processes, affecting multiple spheres of modern life. This demands broad transformation and renewal, generating initiatives for a new sustainable socio-environmental structure. Law No. 12,305/2010, establishing the National Solid Waste Policy (PNRS) in Brazil, aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the UN Agenda 2030, aims at efficient management of solid waste, encompassing reduction, reuse, recycling and appropriate arrangement. Among these actions, composting stands out as a sustainable practice that consists of transforming organic waste into a stabilized compound. This material has potential to improve the chemical, physical and biological aspects of the soil, however, its popularization still faces some challenges. An alternative to overcome these problems and make this material commercially attractive would be to combine them with mineral fertilizers in organomineral formulations. In this sense, this project aims to analyze responses from different formulations of organomineral fertilizers in pineapple and vegetable crops in Seropédica-RJ. Stabilized organic compounds will be used as the basis of the formulations, combined with natural sources of NPK. The objective is to develop agronomically efficient and economically viable products. The study will take place at Embrapa Agrobiologia, Seropédica-RJ, evaluating agronomic and economic responses, considering soil and compost characteristics. Formulations will include sewage treatment sludge, analyzing risks and agronomic effectiveness. Partial results have not yet been obtained, as the field experiment will begin in September 2023. The research aims to contribute to the management of organic waste and sustainable agriculture.
