SUMMARY:

Faced with forecasts of population growth, the need to produce food consciously increases, in order to minimize the social and environmental impact. Organic agriculture is guided by the principles of sustainability, however, it needs advances in the development of products, especially fertilizers, for a potential expansion. Thus, the present work aims to evaluate the efficiency of N-green fertilizer prototype n° 2, formulated with the biomass of leaves of Gliricidia sepium and to evaluate the effect of inoculation of yeasts in the biomass of branches and leaves of gliricidia, in the availability of nitrogen (N). Initially, gliricidia was cultivated for a period of 18 months in vase conditions and the markings were made using a urea solution with 3.0% of 15N atoms, all the material was finely ground and homogenized. In chapter I, the N capacity of the N-green fertilizer was evaluated, using the isotopic technique and organic cultivation of chives (Allium fistulosum), an experimental design of randomized blocks (DBC) was adopted, in a 2x6 factorial arrangement, with two fertilizer sources (N-green and castor bean meal) and 6 doses of total N (0, 50, 100, 200, 300 and 400 Kg ha-1). Three harvests were carried out at 55, 89 and 123 days after transplanting (DAT) and the length, diameter, number of leaves, fresh and dry mass production and N concentration were measured. Also the dry mass and the concentration of N in the roots and in the soil, estimating the accumulated N and the N recovery efficiency. There was no effect sources x doses, nor difference between the sources (N-green and castor bean bran), there was a higher productivity of chives (986 g m2) with a dose of 228 kg of total N ha-1 contained in green-N and for castor bean bran the productivity was 867 g m2 with 280 kg of N total ha-1. The efficiency of N recovery by chive plants fertilized with N-green was 7.41%, which demonstrates the need to increase it. Thus, in chapter II, experimental tests were carried out to evaluate the effect of inoculation of ground biomass (branches and leaves) of gliricidia on N availability. In the first test, DBC was adopted in a factorial arrangement (2x7), with the sources being sterilization of gliricidia (absence and presence) and inoculation (yeasts XMD, LA22, LF22 alone and in mixture, commercial product Embiotic®, and abiotic controls containing only water distilled or inoculant medium). After 21 days of incubation, pH, electrical conductivity, total macronutrients, C/N ratio, potential emission of CO2 and NH3 and the survival of inoculated microorganisms were evaluated. The availability of N was analyzed using a bioassay in a greenhouse, with the addition of three control treatments (absence of fertilization, castor bean meal and non-incubated/inoculated gliricidia biomass). All treatments, with the exception of those containing the XMD strain, under sterile conditions, were as efficient as castor bean meal in black oat dry mass production and percentage of recovered N. An experiment was also carried out in a greenhouse with Planossolo and marked gliricidia biomass, whose design was DBC in a factorial scheme (6x6), with inoculation with LF22 and XMD alone and in mixture, only inoculant medium, absence of incubation/ inoculation, castor bean meal and 6 doses of total N (0, 100, 200, 300 and 400 Kg ha-1). There was no difference between the fertilizers with gliricidia biomass (shoot + root) in the production of fresh and dry biomass of the shoot millet, as well as there was no difference in the recovery of 15N by the millet, at the lowest dose of 100 Kg N ha-1 castor bean meal was more efficient, in the other doses there was no difference between castor bean meal and gliricide biomass. Thereby, it is concluded that under the conditions studied, N-green fertilizer prototype n° 2 is as efficient as castor bean meal in the production of chives and that the biomass of leaves and branches of gliricidia has potential as a fertilizer, but its incubation and inoculation with yeast, did not increase its efficiency
