SUMMARY:

The objectives are to develop and evaluate organomineral fertilizers enriched with organic nitrogen sources. To evaluate the efficiency of organomineral fertilizers enriched with nitrogen from different organic sources; and to determine the minimum and maximum percentage increase of the nitrogen source in the organic base for formulating the organomineral fertilizers. Regarding the methods, this work is being carried out at Embrapa Agrobiologia (CNPAB), in Seropédica, Rio de Janeiro, through the development of two experiments. The first experiment will aim to select, after evaluation, the best organic nitrogen source for a superior formulation of organomineral fertilizers. The study will be conducted in a greenhouse with two corn plants per 8-liter pot, where six treatments will be evaluated: one negative control with 0% N and five prototypes of organomineral fertilizers produced with different organic nitrogen sources, as follows: T1 - blood meal (BS); T2 - hydrolyzed feather meal (HFM); T3 - fish meal (FP); T4 - castor bean cake (TM); T5 - gliricidia biomass (BG); and T6 - negative control (CO), with four replicates in a randomized block design, forming a total of 24 plots. In the second experiment, different levels of nitrogen source in the biostabilized organic base will be evaluated. Eleven treatments and four replicates will be used, for a total of 44 plots. Each prototype will be made with 55% biostabilized organic base (commercial organic compound produced from treated sewage sludge); 5% thermophosphate, and 40% of the organic source. The prototypes will be evaluated for their characterization in the following items: hardness, nutrient content, CEC, electrical conductivity, pH, and ammonia volatilization rate from each organomineral. The quantification of ammonia (NH3) volatilized in each prototype developed will be performed using collectors according to the methodology of Araújo et al. (2009). Nutrient bioavailability will also be evaluated, according to the methodology of Leal (2010), and agronomic efficiency with a focus on nitrogen. The results are expected to yield acceptable values for an agronomically efficient, nitrogen-rich organomineral fertilizer derived from an organic source, based on the N source used and a good N concentration in the formulation.
