Molecular Engine of Alkenes
Molecular Engines
Different molecular machines have been designed and built over the last few decades and with the great scientific advance, the complexities of molecular machines have increased structurally and functionally.
These advances are allowing the creation of molecular switches, rotary motors, nanoelevators, molecular muscles, nanovalves, among others. Molecular machines are classified into two types, natural and artificial, however, natural ones have a much greater complexity than artificial ones. Advances in analytical studies help in the knowledge of properties of compounds and also of structures and, consequently, in the understanding and development of molecular machines.
