This work aims to historically characterize and analyze the elements that allowed the constitution and, above all, the process of transformations experienced by the farmers of the Benedito Alves Bandeira-BAB Settlement through the Prosaf project, seeking to reconstruct decision-making by farmers within the scope of the association and the reasons for adherence or not to the project. The Prosaf project aims at forest restoration through Agroforestry Systems with the establishment of a set of active actions on the recovery of entropically altered areas in small rural family properties, through the implementation of Agroforestry Systems. The BAB settlement is located in the municipality of Acará- Pará, northeast region of Pará, about 150km from the capital Belém and originates from the struggles of peasants and unionists in the 1980s. In 2016, BAB was awarded the PROSAF project from IDEFLOR-Bio, which donated a seedling nursery to its members, in addition to providing technical assistance and training courses in several areas, at least twice a year for participating farmers. In this context, my intention is to reconstitute the implementation narrative and examine the journeys taken by farmers when joining Prosaf, within the Northeast region of Pará.
