SUMMARY:

The general objective is to analyze the disputes around the concept of “slave labor”, within the scope of the State, based on the debates held during the processing of the PEC for Slave Labor, with the objective of understanding what are the interests in dispute and what still today represents an impediment to the complementary law required by EC nº81. Given the above, this research intends to stick to the tensions and disputes that occurred in three moments: constituent, first round and voting on the law. Having as main focus the articulations of the benches and parties around the philosophical conceptions about work, its limits and associated rights and thus unveil the tensions between the main influence groups in these key periods, highlighting what is in dispute from their discursive practices.
