This work seeks to understand the transformations derived from agricultural modernization and their impacts on the rural communities of Bananal, Baú and Morro do Cruzeiro in the municipality of Pires do Rio-GO. As these are communities that develop family farming and that agricultural modernization has reshaped the productive system in the countryside, causing new socio-economic (re) arrangements, changes in social labor relations, cultural changes and the rural world itself, it is of interest to carry out this research to analyze these changes that occurred in these communities in order to observe how the agricultural modernization that took place in the piresino field interfered in the elopment of family farming developed by the rural communities of the municipality.
