SUMMARY:

The present work seeks to analyze the influence of the profile of Rural Extension Technicians in the implementation of the rural technical assistance policy. More precisely, it seeks to understand how the academic-professional training of rural extension technicians, their political-ideological position, among other aspects of their profile, are decisive factors in implementing the rural technical assistance policy. With this, we wish to better understand the reality of the performance of these professionals. The profile of these professionals and the reality of their performance will be examined based on semi-structured interviews. It is also expected that the analysis of the profile of these professionals and their concrete performance can contribute to assess the rural technical assistance policy.
