Institute of Animal Science, Animal Production Department, Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, Seropédica, RJ, 2020. Although there is a satisfactory number of foods available for feed formulations in Brazil, few of these foods have been evaluated in the feeding of bullfrog tadpoles. In view, the aim of this study was to evaluate diets using alternative foods with different levels of digestible protein and ether extract for bullfrog tadpoles. The experiment, which lasted 60 days, was carried out at the Fundação Instituto de Pesca do Estado do Rio de Janeiro (FIPERJ). 360 bullfrog tadpoles were used in Gosner's stage 25, from the same spawning, with an average weight of 0.107 ± 0.004g, packed in 60% of the volume of polypropylene boxes, with a capacity of 50 L, in the density of 1 tadpole/L, composing an experimental unit. The experimental design was completely randomized (DIC) in a factorial scheme (2x2) with four treatments and four replicates. The treatments were two levels of digestible protein and two levels of ether extract. The diets were formulated to meet the following requirements: T1: 25% CP and 9% EE; T2: 30% CP and 9% EE; T3: 25% CP and 11% EE; T4: 30% CP and 11% EE. The results of performance, water quality and chemical composition were subjected to the Shapiro-Wilks and Barlett tests to verify the normality of the data, afterwards it was performed to the analysis of variance (ANOVA), and the means compared by the Duncan test at 5% probability, all statistical procedures were performed with the aid of the SAS statistical program. The verified results of the animals' performance, water quality and proximate composition were not influenced by the suggested diets. However, it is concluded that the best diet to be offered to bullfrog tadpoles is the one with 25% PD and 9 kcal / kg EE.
