SUMMARY:
This research has as its main object of analysis the construction of the sanctity of Catherine of Siena between the years 1380 and 1461 from the Italian Peninsula through the action of some of her disciples linked to the Order of Preachers. The objective is to identify the uses of the sanctity of Catherine by the Dominicans in the midst of the order's projects at the end of the 14th century, investigate the role played by them in the process of canonization and also to analyze the sanctity models that exerted influence in the construction of official and canonized sanctity of Catherine. For that, we will consider the testimonies contained in the so-called "Il Processo Castellano", as well as the vast hagiography produced.
