RESUMO:

This dissertation deals with different phases of the development process of the Holocaust Denial as a relatively autonomous field of the extreme-right movements by the 1970’s and beyond. The objetive here is to show how certains intellectual relations and intellectual practices makes sence in and about the social world through the existence and functioning of the Institute for Historical Review. Its suggests that as a field of intelectual sociability, the IHR was also made by and for practices and relations that shaped some representations of the the past as artifacts and subjects of political and public battles over the meanings of the past as means to frame and change the social world boundaries.
