Hitler and the Nazi Party through the optics of the Carioca press. An analysis of the printed vision of Rio de Janeiro on the published image of Hitler and the Nazi Party (1932 - 1936

The objectiveofthisresearchistoanalyzehowsix Rio newspapers, namely, Correio da Manhã, Jornal do Brasil, A Noite, Jornal do Commercio, Diário de Notícias and Gazeta de Notícias, received, interpretedanddisseminatedthe Nazi ideologyandtheimageof Hitler . Three periods of the trajectory of the Nazi Party and Hitler are analyzed: the German presidential election of 1932, the "Long Knife Night" in 1934 and the remilitarization of the Rhineland in 1936. The hypothesis for this analysis is that these images, despite to converge to believe that Hitler's choice of the German presidency in the six newspapers studied in the first period analyzed is undemocratic, it changes as events unfold and especially after the consolidation of Hitler's power in Germany.
