SUMMARY:

Study about symbolic production in Spanish dramaturgy and in the context of succession and consolidation of the monarchy of the Catholic Kings (1467-1497). It analyzes the circulation of information and the dissemination of the discourse of a "redeeming" king like Christ and his political reach based on the records of the Passion and the Nativity as well as on the bulge of a set of ceremonies that take part in the political spaces of the kingdom. The notion of symbolic power proposed by Pierre Bourdieu and the concept of performance, operated by the medievalist and theoretician of voice phenomena Paul Zumthor, are fundamental to our work. From the method of structural analysis of the narrative proposed by Todorov, we intend to establish a correlation between the Neotestamentary aspect and the dramatic productions, showing its constitutive role in medieval identities and pointing out how they are appropriate and reread by the Spanish monarchy for its political affirmation. To this end, we have chosen as a source the works of Gómez Manrique (c.1412-c.1491), Juan de Encina (c.1468-c.1529?) and Francisco de Madrid (c.? -c?).
