Unauthorized biographies: Between censure and freedom of speech

Based on the study on the case of unauthorized biographies, in other words, the debate arising from the
requirement of prior authorization from the biographer or his family for the publication of a biography, this
work aims to understand the offshoot of the discussionm about freedom of speech, in order to verify the
possible existence of a type of censure, after all the legislative references that purpose to stop it and that
legitimize the right to information and freedom of speech. In this way, we sought to analyze the current
legislation, as well as the debate that took place from the discussion in the media and in the Chamber
about the perspective of verifying the factor of censure and unconstitutionality in the legislation that aimed
to require this prior authorization
