SUMMARY:

The present work seeks to make an analysis of the Brazilian Workers' Congress of 1906 seeking to understand it through the viewpoint of the organizations entitled as reformists, or yellow from the exposition of the big press on the workers' congress. To this end, consideration will be given to the discussion on workers' associativism during the first republic and to the debates involving the formation of the workers' movement and its diversity of ideologies so that the analysis of the congress can be promoted. This analysis will be based mainly on the analysis of the construction process of the Congress, the trajectory of the main reformist figures cited by the Congress and by the analysis of the speeches of the delegates present during the sessions of the congress that was held during the days 15 to 20 April 1906 in the Galician Center, Rio de Janeiro, then federal capital of Brazil.
