SUMMARY:

The present text aims to investigate the production of disparate masculinities from the historical analysis of the invention of Dzi Croquettes and Secos & Molhados ones during the sexual policy of the civil-military dictatorship (1968-1976). With an analysis of their artistic practices based on the propositions of Michel Foucault and Judith Butler, we seek to highlight a heterogeneous and multiple set of performances, representations, presentations, music and theatricality that complexify a partial and simplistic view of the normative statements of masculinity and femininity that crossed and constituted the speeches of the dictatorship ideologists who, in turn, used a rhetoric to defend public morality and good customs in order to control and discipline the bodies considered a threat to the social and binary order of genre. The contribution and innovation of this work consists of addressing the history of these groups concurrently, for this, I focus on friendship, androgyny and the overflow as thematic axes of investigation.
