Established in 1886 on the Santa Cruz Imperial Farm, the Santa Isabel School operated at the Santa Cruz Slaughter of house and offered professional education to the children of the workers. This research dedicated to the study of the investments of the Empire in this institution, as well as part of the educational projects and the expansion of professional education. My idea will be that inauguration of the Santa Isabel School (which was not the first of kind in the region) is part of this expansion project of the professional education modality.
