SUMMARY:

This current research aims to analyze a group of spells existent in the ancient Egyptian Book of the Dead (BD) during the 26^th Dynasty, a moment where the BD as a whole has returned to use in a remodeled state after a period of three centuries of disappearance. The main goal of our work, thus, is to investigate the relationship between this new redaction with the productions made in previous times. For that, the first chapters of our work are aimed to discuss and set the bases of comprehension for our future analyzes. Thus, in our first chapter, we discussed the so-called ‘archaism’ phenomenon during this 26^th dynasty under the light of the trajectory of this dynasty, while our second chapter had the goal of debating the applicability of the notion of “Egyptian religious field”, expression that we proposed based on a discussion of the ideas of Pierre Bourdieu.
