This research deals with Genocide Denial. Through comparison of two variets this phenomena, namely the Armenian Genocide denail and the  the Holocaust denial, it aims to explain the social processes of Gencide Denial institucionalization as a social practice with political meaning. Therefore, its problem is: how and why the social spaces of denial were formed, evolved and transformed? Its hypothesis is that the social spaces of the practices of denial are formally distinct and that they have relatively similar functioning logics, which produce and reproduce the denial as a tool and as subject of political disputes over the past and the limits of the social world.

 To address this problem, this research takes its object in two levels. First, it shows how the relatively autonomous social fields or institucional universes of social and symbolic relations that supported the denial practices in the two cases were formed, how they were structured, and how they functioned throughout time. Then, it deals with the discursive aspects of the denial practices in relation to these processes, stressing its social, symbolic and political contents and meanings.
