This paper aims to understand, through texts and articles published in the Brazilian Ecclesiastical Magazine, during the period from 1964 to 1988, the strategies of political and social intervention adopted by sectors of the Catholic Church, especially issues related to the life of the rural worker and, its conception of the best agrarian reform to be made in the country, we will try to understand the institutional trajectory of the journal, the projects and political conceptions of Agrarian Reform expressed in it and answer some questions that were posed during the investigation: How did its editors and collaborators stand against the main political events of the period between 1964 and 1988? How did you deal with the intense debate on the agrarian question? What proposals for Agrarian Reform were defended in R.E.B.?
