By mapping the issue of Genocide Roma in the Holocaust historiography, it is clear that there is a gap in research on this theme. Nevertheless, the 1980s represented the beginning of a gradual increase in interest in this theme of study. An attempt is being made to recognize the Roma as victims of the Holocaust perpetrated by the Nazis. In parallel, in this same period, there is an expansion of the activities of Roma groups, seeking their space in the collective memory of the Holocaust and in the struggle for their rights. Thus, this research assumes that changes in the writing of the history of Holocaust victims and the actions of the Roma groups can be articulated, and allow the possibility of understanding the Roma Genocide as an instrument for the construction of these associations and of your memories and identities. Having as its theme the issue of the construction of memory about the Genocide Roma (1939 – 1945) by the RomaniMovement, understanding that it is under permanent construction, and its affiliation with the past intersects with the construction of identity itself and the struggle for rights. This group motivates the need for reflection on current memory productions about the past and its tension coexistences. Thus, the work of this research starts from a mapping of the events of Genocide Roma, to analyze its possible influences on Romani associativism, and on its expectations of identity construction, memory and knowledge production about the past, inserted in a scenario of disputes. in the present. To this end, the manual Right to Remember, produced in 2014 by Roma Youth Plan Action in partnership with the Council of Europe, is used as a source. This time frame is due to the fact of this period, it is inserted in a phase of expansion of the relations of groups Roma with international institutions and the publication of materials of the own group on this theme. And its objectives are, firstly, to map and analyze the relationship between the development of Romani organizations and the production of documents about the Roma Genocide, in a context of modification of Holocaust Historiography, in order to understand how these policies resulted. in the production of these materials. To then, examine the insertion of the identity and memory construction of Genocide Roma into the debate on human rights education and discuss the expectations of identity and memory construction that exist in the document produced by these groups.
