RESUMO:

Objective dissertation is to analyse the paper practised by piece of the committed laicato and of catholic monks in the process of desestabilização of the government of John Goulart. One pays attention to the interrelation between fractions of the Catholicism and of the dominant class in his multiple appliances deprived of hegemony. Along the text, show up which segments of the Catholic Church contributed systematically through expertize intellectual, financier docks and infraestrutura the gestation of the military-civil blow and the construction of the authoritarian exit. For end, we end that the participation of monks and committed laymen was basic for the construction of the scenery who took Brazil to dictatorship of 21 years.
