SUMMARY:

It is already a consensus that the environmental crisis deeply marked in our society the temporal transition from the 20th century to the 21st century constitutes a crisis of civilization and instrumental rationality. the great challenge of overcoming the barriers of exacerbated individualism to which the consumer society wants to subordinate us, bringing the need to re-signify knowledge not only in the local context, but also globally and in solidarity. Higher education institutions are then questioned and challenged to break with old scientific paradigms that guide curricula, contents and instructional practices to meet a closed, normative structure and continuously identified as imposing and restrictive, centered on the hierarchical disciplinary model and rethinking yourself, reevaluate yourself and reorient yourself through self-organizing processes, historically, culturally and environmentally contextualized, based on an interdisciplinary perspective that opposes the marketing logic that is mostly present in the globalized world. In the context of professional training in Agricultural Sciences, the demands posed by rural social movements point to training committed to Family Farming and Agroecology as modes of production aligned with the ideals of social justice. In this sense, there is an urgent need to not only think about these dimensions of agriculture in the theoretical-reflective field, but especially in its technical dimension. Such demands culminated in the last decade with the creation of guiding documents for the production process that stress training processes that are in line with these perspectives that break with the marketing logic of the production process in the primary sector. The present project intends to reflect, from the discussions on the curriculum field as a space of praxis, from the field of Environmental Education, with a focus from the environmental dimension in education through the processes of Curricular Environmentalization and the field of Agroecology, in a perspective emerging theoretical-critical of the Construction of Agroecological Knowledge. The methodological approach is in line with qualitatively based procedures, verifying conceptual categories present in the guiding documentary base of the professional training courses in Agricultural Sciences at UFRRJ and, also, from the ethnographic bias through the Pedagogical Co-Vivence with students and professors of the courses in question. The aim is thus to contribute to reflection on the formative processes of undergraduate courses in Agricultural Sciences at UFRRJ, proposing new possibilities in the field of professional training with a special focus on socio-environmental perspectives, based on the construction of agroecological knowledge, analyzing the insertion of the theme environmental and agroecology in the documentary base of undergraduate courses in Agricultural Sciences at UFRRJ and observe how the pedagogical experiences permeate, tension and pressure an environmentalization of the curricula of professional training courses in agricultural sciences.
