SUMMARY:

Through a bibliographic and documentary review of the main works of Lélia Gonzalez and Paulo Freire and using as a data collection method the semi-structured interview with black feminists and speech analysis the assumptions of Bardin (2016), identify, through a philosophically oriented look , the points of contact between both Brazilian intellectuals and activists, when we think about their contributions within the field of black feminism and education. In view of this, the following pages sought, for a methodological purpose, to biograph both authors, seeking to point out the material conditions of life that enabled the construction, in the case of Lélia Gonzalez, of an Afro-Latin American feminism and in the case of Paulo Freire, his Liberating pedagogy. In addition to this biography, we expose how his philosophical assumptions were put into practice during his various interventions, whether with Lélia Gonzalez in the field of intersectionality, or with Paulo Freire in the field of the dialectical relationship between oppressor and oppressed. Finally, we conclude the thesis by confirming our research hypothesis, pointing out that there are several points of contact between both ways of understanding reality, whether from an intersectional perspective or from a perspective that values the class struggle. The discovery of these similar points could contribute even more to the fight against the various forms of oppression suffered by socially disadvantaged groups.
