SUMMARY:

This doctoral research will aim to analyze the existence of intersectoral policies for the care of people with ASD in reference centers in the State of Rio de Janeiro. The study will be based on a theoretical-methodological approach with the foundations of the Critical Theory of Society, supported by the thoughts of Theodor Adorno to dialogue with authors such as: Mainardes (2018), Pletsch, Sá, Mendes (2021), Wanderleya, Martinellia, PAZ (2020), Tãno and Matsukura (2019), Damasceno (2015) and others. As a procedure, documentary analyses will be used such as: Federal Constitution (1998); Law No. 9394/96 (Law of Guidelines and Bases of National Education; Law No. 8,069, of July 13, 1990 (Statute of the Child and Adolescent); Law No. 12,764/2012 (National Policy for the Protection of the Rights of People with Autism Spectrum Disorder), Law No. 13,146/2015 (Brazilian Inclusion Law) and observation, interviews and questionnaires in the reference centers studied. In order to understand the care provided in the reference centers for people with Autism Spectrum Disorder, the Omnicriticism of Damasceno, Santos and Cabral (2023) will be used as an analytical perspective to deepen the reflection between the theory and practice of inclusion in education.
