The entrance of deaf students in the Federal Institute of Education Science and Technology of Rio de Janeiro (IFRJ) and, consequently, in the Program for Integration of Professional Education with Basic Education in the Modality of Youth and Adult Education (PROEJA) was intensified by the quota policy through Law n. 13.409/2016 and, after five years, we did not find institutional documents that direct the educational inclusion to Professional Technological Education (EFA) of these students. The absence of an educational guideline and of professional training for teachers and technical people regarding the aspects of bilingual education for the deaf can cause mistakes in teaching-learning process and in production of teaching materials that dialogue with bilingual education (Libras and Portuguese), Youth and Adult Education (EJA), and technological professional training. Furthermore, we found a lack of didactic material related to professional training in EJA for deaf students. This situation becomes worrisome, because the educational objects, when used with imagetic support, the applicability of Libras as a first language and written Portuguese as a second language, can help in understanding of curriculum content, aligned with specific pedagogical methods in classes with deaf students included in PROEJA high school, in IFRJ. This study aims to analyze the imagery characteristics contained in the teaching materials, used by deaf students in the PROEJA high school in Computer Maintenance and Support of the Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of Rio de Janeiro. The specific objectives were defined in this way: understand the situation of vocational training for deaf students in EJA integrated to Professional and Technological Education (EJA-EPT) in the federal public school in Rio de Janeiro; investigate concepts related to teaching materials in bilingual education (Libras and Portuguese) aimed the EJA-EPT high school; identify how the images are used in the pedagogical products in the technological disciplines of the Computer Maintenance and Support course applied in the period 2018 to 2021 with deaf students of IFRJ. The methodology adopted will have a qualitative approach, from a documental research with Marconi and Lakatos (2017) guidelines. For the teachers of the technological disciplines of PROEJA from two campuses of IFRJ, we will apply as a research technique a questionnaire with semi-structured questions and we will request pedagogical materials applied with deaf students. Data collection will begin after authorization from the Ethics Committee on Research with Human Beings of the Federal Rural University of Rio de Janeiro (CEP-UFRRJ) and signing of the Free and Informed Consent Form. After the survey and cataloging of materials, we will adopt Badin's content analysis (1977) as a methodological instrument with objective and analytical criteria to identify indicators about the images presented in teaching materials.
