Education of Ethnic-Racial Relations in Domingos Martins-ES: The School Historical Knowledge in the Anti-Hegemonic Perspective,
Domingos Martins, Education, Ethnic-Racial Question, Law 10.639/03 and 11.645/08
This research aims to investigate how the Afro-Brazilian and African History and Culture is being thought by the History teachers of Domingos Martins-ES of Elementary School II in the light of Law 10.639/03. It seems necessary to me to problematize the Curriculum, Pedagogical Political Projects, and didactic-pedagogical procedures of Martinense educators, in face of indications of invisibility of the black population by the regional historiography. Starting from a settlement nucleus in the District of Aracê, right at the beginning of its formation around the 19th century, we refute the idea that Domingos Martins was only occupied by European colonization. As a result of this historical fact, some questions arise: How is Law 10.639/03 being approached by the History teachers of Elementary School II in the municipality that is historically said to be a region of European colonization? How does the Official Curriculum of the municipality and the Political Pedagogical Projects of the schools see this population? To understand this historical-social-educational context, I use historiographical records of the municipality and the region, I will analyze the official curriculum of the municipality, and dialogue-interview History teachers from seven schools, one from each District, in addition to knowing more about the history of the people. black in the region.
