1988 March Against the Farce of Abolition, Coletiva of Black and Black Students DeNegrir UERJ, Pre-Entrance Exam for Black and Needy People – PVNC, Race Relations, Black Movement
For this dissertation, the March of the Black Movement “against the farce of abolition”, held in 1988, is a milestone in the process of organizing the Black Movement in RJ. As an example, the present work addresses two of its legacies – the Coletivo Denegrir de Negros e Negras da UERJ, and the Pré-Vestibular para Negros e Needies – seen as new forms of black struggle, which is confirmed later with the creation of countless groups of students, in public and private universities, and community pre-university courses, across the country. To support this analysis, it was necessary to consult the newspapers of the time and investigate the contexts of thoughts, articulation and organization that occurred in that landmark event in the centenary year of the “abolition farce”.
