The lack of effective proficiency in the English language among undergraduate and graduate students is a problem both for national scientific dissemination and for the internationalization of Brazilian institutions. This research aims to understand the process of acquiring academic literacy in English within cyberspace by a Brazilian research group through the use of institutional digital interfaces such as the 'Web Conference RNP' and the 'Virtual Community' of the Integrated System of Academic Activities (SIGAA), as well as the use of WhatsApp. The methodological approach is cyber-research-training (Santos, 2005, 2014, 2019), which allowed us to qualitatively analyze the data produced in a context that does not separate teaching from research over three academic terms held in 2021. Based on the data generated in the research field, we propose a classification for the chosen interfaces for online instructional design, a training program for digital curation for future teachers, and the literacy components of what we call academic cyber-literacy in English within cyberspace.
