SUMMARY:

The main challenge, and consequently our main objective, is to understand how the training processes and pedagogical support developed in the CIEPs (Integrated Centers for Public Education) took place, thus identifying similarities between the In-Service Training Program for teachers working in the Integrated Centers for Public Education (CIEPs), part of the Special Education Program, during the governments of Leonel de Moura Brizola as governor of the State of Rio de Janeiro (1983-1987), and what we now identify as "Teacher Professional Induction Programs".
