This research aims to analyze the acquisition and development of concepts, related to parallel lines cut by a transversal, of students with a teaching methodology that values the production of metaphors through writing for meaning construction, interactions, analysis and reflection in tasks. exploratory and investigative from the touches on the smartphone screen when using the GeoGebra app. In this endeavor, we are thinking about the following question: “what contributions and challenges can a teaching practice based on the production of metaphors and the use of a dynamic geometry environment in smartphone can offer for the acquisition and development of geometric concepts of 8th grade students? Year of elementary school of a public school in Rio de Janeiro? Based on this proposal, we have the following specific objectives: 1. Develop and implement tasks that enable students to interact, reflect, argue and conjecture using GeoGebra on smartphones; 2. Identify conceptual metaphors produced by performing written tasks; 3. Investigate how concepts can be appropriated using the GeoGebra App; 4. Analyze the acquisition and development of concepts related to the subject of study; 5. Highlight contributions and challenges linked to smartphone mathematical task implementations
