LOOK, SEE, REPAIR, REPRESENT: THE CONSTRUCTION OF VISUALIZATION WITH CAMERA AND SMARTPHONES
Geometric draw; Technical drawing; High school; Descriptive geometry; Visualization
The production and interpretation of images for the representation of objects is a characteristic of Technical Drawing, a discipline applied to the vocational high school technical course of a state school in Rio de Janeiro. Young people (14 to 17 years old) are initiated into graphic language as an expression for drawing up drafts, detailing and technical projects. We also work with students in the subsequent evening course, adults, some already working in the field they study, others looking for new opportunities. This is a research in which we develop software-supported activities, a security camera device, mobile phone functions and applications for grasping the concepts of geometry and visualization as important supports for the development of spatial reasoning. This is a Development Research, the class routines were recorded with the researcher's field diary, photos and written reports and drawings of the students involved. It was momentarily concluded that visualization is a skill to be developed and learned in the course of activities with experience for observation and recording by means of physical images on paper or digital screen and mental images.
