RESUMO:

The text presents a discussion about the artistic training provided by the courses of pedagogy of the public universities of the metropolitan region of the State of Rio de Janeiro; reflecting on what is the art and its possibilities of an amplification of human and teaching knowledge. To this end, this work investigated grids and curricular menus of pedagogy courses with the objective of revealing how this theme is approached in the formation of teachers of basic education.
