SUMMARY:
The present research, presented from the methodological perspective of the autobiographical narrative,
aims to analyze some speeches directed at me at different stages of life, observing how these are related
to structural racism, above all, which affect black women. After “twenty-something years” with the racial
identity of the category “morena”, professor Azolida Loretto Trindade “shouted at me” black in an immersion
of the project “The color of culture”. From this, after a deep identity crisis, I reached a critical racial literacy,
a concept that will be presented based on the research of Aparecida de Jesus Ferreira (2019), and I could
see that many of the categories described within racism had already crossed my trajectory, pre-determining
a social place which I In this sense, the central issue addressed by this work is the narratives directed at black
women who, directly or subjectively, intend to define the places to which we must belong and how the
disruption of this logic can change the historical course elaborated by In order to substantiate the chosen
methodology and legitimize this writing as an academic research work, taking it “from the memorial place”,
I bring The theoretical contributions of black women who broke this place of research object, becoming
authors of their own narratives, are: Grada Kilomba, bell hooks, Lélia Gonzalez, Conceição Evaristo,
Nilma Lino Gomes, Sueli Carneiro and Bianca Santana. And, considering the need to insert these
experiences in a structural social context, not as an individual phenomenon, I will bring to the “wheel”
narratives of other black women, from different generations, in order to understand the crossings of racism
in their life stories . The thesis will present a chronological logic, associating racist phrases with age periods
and how they dialogue with the categories discussed by racial theories.
