SUMMARY:

Trabaho analyzes the presence of effects of religious practices in elementary schools in peripheral urban areas, constituting a case study. The relations of the school routine are apprehended based on the sociological work of Pierre Bourdieu, using in particular the concepts of social field, class habitus and types of capital. The relations between the religious, political and educational fields and their effects on the practices of teachers, students and families of students in school life are analyzed.
