CONTINUING EDUCATION IN THE SCHOOL OF THE EARTH PROGRAM: THE EXPERIENCE OF MULTI-GRADE EDUCATORS IN ANGRA DOS REIS/RJ
Rural Education, Multigrade Classes, Continuing Education.
Specific training for rural educators means ensuring practices that are consistent with rural values and principles, recognizing the social relationships that are established there. However, not all rural teachers receive this specific training. Rural schools have characteristics that differ from urban schools, especially those located in distant communities, with small populations, making it impossible to have schools with graded classes. Many teachers are in rural schools making use of pedagogical materials that do not dialogue with the peasant reality. In this sense, teacher training that meets the inherent needs of the field becomes necessary.
