SUMMARY:

Information literacy is intrinsically related to scientific practice and refers to the human capacity to understand and also to use information, especially from the internet, in a critical and strategic way. When we talk about the concept, we are talking about a set of skills necessary to navigate well in the information age and use technological and digital resources for relevant applications, thus being a subject literate in scientific information, has developed both the competence to read and write, as well as to use the technologies available today and can both learn and solidify what has been learned, both reading and writing using the technologies of today's world and being able to assimilate and solidify learning. The research is multi-referential since resources and epistemic bases of Information Sciences and Education will be used, making a dialogical study between both, in order to converge in a product that helps in information literacy in basic education. The general objective of the research is to analyze the importance of the development of scientific thinking through strategies and didactics of science and its processes in the high school of the Instituto Federal de Educação, Ciência e Tecnologia Goiano (IF Goiano) Hidrolândia Campus. The research is qualitative, based on the reading of the theoretical framework and the analysis of diaries produced by the researcher from pedagogical experiments carried out in the High School of IFG-Goiano - Hidrolândia campus. The dialogic study carried out with high school students from the Federal Institute of Goiano – Hidrolândia campus, highlights the transformative forces that act in society and the ways to democratize access to information and scientific thinking, providing an effective change in life and relationship with the school trajectory. Critical and scientific thinking stands out in young students who are literate in information and scientific method.
