RESUMO:

In recent years, in the midst of advances and setbacks, racial issues have been amplifying new debates, perspectives and practices in society in general and with significant repercussions within school walls. To dialogue with such a theme is to dialogue with the history of a people, the African peoples, the indigenous people, the Brazilian people, and follow the path to the search for construction and re-signification of one's identity, especially in the school, where this theme assumes, with the advent of law 10.639 / 2003 and 11645/2008 contours that weave discussions about curriculum, educational strategies and continuing education, answers to veiled cries, hidden voices, clamoring at its core for overcoming historical practices of hierarchy and subjection. This research aims to carry out a study on education and ethnic-racial relations, and the role of the educational institution in particular its actors in the articulation and promotion of educational practices consonant with public educational policies that give visibility and coherent, non-Eurocentric treatment to the question, in the classroom. The research intends to analyze the educational practices of educators in three public schools located in peripheral communities in the western zone of Rio de Janeiro, characterized by high levels of violence, social vulnerability and abandonment of public power. The aim is to analyze educational practices based on issues involving identity, cultural diversity, equality and difference, stereotypes / prejudices, among others. For a better treatment of the objectives and better appreciation of this research, it was observed the need to conduct a qualitative, exploratory research with systematic observation. The data collection device will be an interview with the teachers and semi-structured identification questionnaire. It is relevant to reflect on the practice of a teaching practice in addition to quantifiable data summarized in notes and goals. Teaching practice that considers difference in the classroom and strengthens equal rights, treatment and opportunity. This study is expected to reflect and collaborate in the construction / discussion of a pedagogy and an educational practice that respects and values the construction of the identity of black and non-black children valuing diversity and not feeding inequality in the midst of a constant overflow of practice teacher. The school environment has an urgent demand.
