Crossings of Peripheral and Pedagogical Feminism: Being-Women in the Chatuba Community
Keywords: Education, gender, ethnic-racial relations, periphery.
This work has as its central theme the analysis of a pedagogical project based on feminist precepts, implemented in a Municipal School located in the Chatuba community - one among the seventeen neighborhoods that make up the municipality of Mesquita in Baixada Fluminense, RJ. Through this study we seek to understand what the reverberations and crossings of the project were for the entire school community, disseminate gender studies in schools through a feminist perspective and understand how young women from the periphery and students of public schools position themselves and / or understand the problematizations of the feminist movement and women's empowerment; what aspects of their social understanding contribute to their emancipation; and how the questions of feminism pass through these women without recognizing themselves in them or that they are an important factor in their daily lives. We also aim to trace a brief history of the feminist movement in Brazil and in the world, investigating whether this discourse reaches the peripheries, showing the importance of recognizing these women with feminism and how much this movement can support the struggle of these female subjects who are marginalized.
