Strength-ideas that welcome listen, promote and tell story of the Community Activities Center of São João de Meriti/ RJ – CAC SJM
LEARNING; IDEA-STRENGTH; COMMUNITY SCHOOL
This qualitative reserarch had as its theme the learning of youg children in a community school. The community Activities Center of São João de Meriti – CAC/SJM – is a philantropic institution created from subjects of the Social Movements, in 1987. The objective was to investigate the brands, forces and ideologies that support and move the institution in order to preserve it in operation for over 30 years. Some ideas-forces were identified as principles that regule it, safeguarding its action, without the intention of plastering it in this perspective, but rather of understanding it in all its potential: memory, ideology, community, social movements, the experience, the shool Yard, its pedagogical practice, the concepto f Childhood, teacher traing and student posture. Each of these elements reveals the sense for CAC to continue in activity despite the tensions and setbacks it has faced. The recovery of the institution‘s history path was na important component in the intention of keeping history alive, marking it public and recognized by the academy. The theoretical-methodological foudations were developed in dialogue with Mikhail Bakhtin‘s studies on the use of language, the utterance and dialogue. As well as other authors and their conceptions about each of the strength ideas mentioned: Amorim, Benjamin, Chauí, Freire, Kramer, Larrosa, Linhares, Motta, Nóvoa, Santos, Sarmento, Tiriba among others. As a research methodology, there was the documentar analysis of materials that tell the history of the insritution and the field research living together for two years with the early Childhood classes and the first year of elementar scholl. The interaction resulted in the description of some events that reveal aspects of the school‘s daily life and its educational pratice. As a result of research, it appears that the Community Activities Center has managed to maintain itself due to its political and ideological convictions that do not allow it to depart from its principles. Preserving its educational function and denying assistance. Curretly, he has benefited from partnerships whith the public university and its extension projects that give him training status. The agrément with the Municipal Newook of São João de Meriti provides for the assingment of teachers and other actions not yet carried out. the CAC counts on the collaboration of familes to maintain the space. Children who study at this community school are able to become literate inthe first year of schooling. It appears that this learning is the reult of a set of elements that uderpin the pedagogical practice, especially anchored in constructivist-based assumptions, combined with the concepts buit in the instituion and preserved for more than 30 years of existence.
