“THE EDUCATOR IS ETERNAL IN EVERY BEING THAT EDUCATES”: Contributions by Osmar Fávero to the Training of Researchers in Youth and Adult Education
Osmar Fávero; Youth and Adult Education; to hope
This research aims to systematize the finished works of supervision of theses and dissertations by Professor Osmar Fávero in order to reflect on the discussions, practices, methodologies, memories and theoretical constructs for Youth and Adult Education. Fávero has fifty-six master's dissertation and seventeen doctoral theses supervised by him in the field of education throughout his career and continues to direct research today. This investigation is also an encouragement to those who dare to hope, in an attempt to bring the discussions present in the research guided by Fávero and find in them the encouragement and beauty of the education of young people and adults. Recognizing that the subjects of youth and adult education are, for the most part, workers, the indignation with the current economic system that exploits such subjects is expressive, however, the hope is employed precisely in considering the struggle, the resistance of those who make education and to value the memories and productions of those who dare to hope and struggle, through research for an emancipatory education. This research, then, is a systematic and chronological investigation of the theses and dissertations on the education of young people and adults supervised, carried out through the analysis of the works guided by the Emeritus professor Osmar Fávero in the period of 1974 in which the first dissertation he supervised was defended, until the year 2018, the date of his last thesis supervision and informed in the professor's Lattes curriculum.
