SUMMARY:

This study has as its theme education in Human Rights and Citizenship, having as general objective to analyze the different issues involved in the approach of sexual diversity and gender identities and expressions in the school context. With the specific objective of analyzing public policies to combat LGBTIphobiain teacher education, especially the Brazil without Homophobia Program (PBSH-2004) and the School Without Homophobia Project (PESH–2011). The study methodology initially includes the collection of theoretical information through bibliographic and documentary research, using theoretical references that address the themes of sexualities, gender, diversity, human rights education and public policies for the LGBTI population. Targeting for field research in a second moment.   The field research has a qualitative bias, and narrative interviews with teachers of the teacher training course of a State school in Baixada Fluminense, located in the municipality of Paracambi, were used. It is emphasized that narrative interviews will be categorized according to content analysis (Bardin, 2016).
