Self-perception and (Re)knowledge of oneself as a leader: Relationship between organizational culture and leadership

Leadership and Organizational Culture are related themes that are growing a lot nowadays due to their impact on the results of work teams. The leader influences attitudes towards updating and innovating knowledge and the work climate. Everyday technology requires more effective ways of transforming information into knowledge, which is crossed by emotional and social issues. The leader deals with all these aspects, and the literature indicates that, for that, it is important that he be aware of his own characteristics. Based on this theme, this research aims to analyze the relationship between organizational culture and the process of self-perception and (re)cognition of the leader as a leader in a work team. The specific objectives are: to know how self-perception can influence a leader's performance; understand how the current organizational culture in the process of (re)cognition of oneself as a leader. The literary review will address: leadership, leader training, organizational culture, professional identification. The research will be descriptive, qualitative, phenomenological-hermeneutic. Data collection will be carried out through individual online interviews with 08 leaders with up to two years of experience. For data interpretation, Emancipatory Dialogic Narrative Analysis will be applied. It is expected as a result to systematize elements that collaborate in the process of self-knowledge and professional (re)knowledge that collaborate in the formation of leaders and in the development of teams. This work relates to the leader's influence on the motivation of employees in the organizational context in order to achieve their committed professional performance, and mainly with the mental health of workers, starting with the leader himself.
