THE INFLUENCE OF SELF-EFFICACY AND MINDFULNESS ON THE MOTIVATION TO LEAD IN CADETS OF THE MILITARY ACADEMY OF AGULHAS NEGRAS

The present study deals with the influence of Self-efficacy and Mindfulness on the Motivation to Lead in students (Cadets) of the training course for army combat officers, which is held at Academia Militar das Agulhas Negras (AMAN), located in the city of Resende. – RJ. Cadets are formed in one of the 7 specialties currently existing in the combat officer career: Infantry, Cavalry, Artillery, Communications, Engineering, Ordnance and Quartermaster. The study will compare the variables self-efficacy, mindfulness and motivation to lead in male and female cadets in their final year of training. Subsequently, it will compare the scores obtained in the Attitudinal Assessment by the cadets of all Courses, in the last year of training, in the study variables. Finally, it will compare the scores obtained by the same cadets, in the last two years of training, in the aforementioned study variables. Such procedures aim to initiate a longitudinal study, through which it will be possible to provide the military with adequate strategies for coping with adversities peculiar to the military environment, as well as seeking to base future discussions on the promotion of well-being and the appreciation of life among the military.
