Construction and validation of a psychopedagogical scale to identify types of anxiety in university students' learning
Epistemophilic obstacle in university students. Types of learning anxiety. Typological scale of learning anxiety. Forced choice.
This study aims to build and validate a scale to identify the types of anxiety that compromise the learning of university students, based on the psychopedagogical foundation. Upon entering higher education, the university student is faced with new situations inherent to academic training, emotional changes also appear that can compromise learning. The phenomenon of emotional disorganization that negatively interferes in the interaction between subject and object of knowledge is referred to in psychopedagogy as an epistemophilic obstacle. From the basic anxieties that support the learner's bonds with the world and is present in the relationship between subject and object of knowledge, three pathological types of anxiety can emerge: paranoid, confusional and depressive. The first anxiety being an inhibitory expression and the other two being symptomatic. Differentiating this typology contributes to the planning of health and education promotion actions, as well as supporting specialized interventions. In the systematic literature review, there was a predominance of instruments that assess levels of anxiety, but also, the absence of those that identify types of anxiety in learning in university students. Thus, the relevance is justified by the construction of an instrument for this purpose. The theoretical review had three pillars: learning anxiety, types of learning anxiety and types of scales. The study is organized in three moments: a) preparation of the scale, with theoretical basis of the constructs and factors, selection of statements for the instrument and judgment by judges; b) application in pilot research in a group of university students, with the review of the data and appropriate adjustments; and c) application and validation of the instrument.
