SUMMARY:

Stress is a problem that affects everyone, it is part of life and we will have to learn to deal with stressful events. Stress is a term used to describe the reactions people feel when under pressure. The way one evaluates and reacts to stress differs from one person to another, and may generate physiological responses that compromise physical, emotional, psychological well-being, in addition to causing damage at work and in life. The objective of this research is to evaluate how health professionals from a specific hospital perceive stress in their work and what are the impacts on their work and life. As a data collection instrument, an open questionnaire will be used, which will be applied to 20 health professionals, of both sexes and aged over 18 years, who work in the hospital. The participants will be volunteers and will fill out the Free and Informed Consent Form and the data collection will be done in the work environment itself. The collected data will be categorized according to Bardin's content analysis. The relevance of this research lies in the fact that health professionals are part of a group of workers who are exposed to high levels of stress, which can interfere with their professional activities, putting the lives of patients at risk, in addition to jeopardize your own health and life. As a result of this research, we hope to gather information that may help in future interventions in preventing and coping with stress in the hospital work environment.
