The main objective of this study was to analyze the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on the work dynamics of a CAPSi located in Baixada Fluminense, from the perspective of the multiprofessional team. Assuming that this service is located in a region characterized by unique socioeconomic challenges, it is considered that mental health professionals will also face significant changes in their personal lives because of  the way work was being reconfigured. Brazil, at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, was marked by a high incidence of severe cases, resulting in hospitalizations and ICUS with so many cases, overloading the health systems, as observed around the world. The impacts go beyond the epidemiological scope and affect the population in diferente ways, especially those in a situation of social vulneraility. Even though infant mortality was lower compared to adults and the elderly, Brazilian children and adolescentes faced psychosocial challenges, especially those living in socioeconomically disadvantaged contexts. A strategy to mitigate the effects on mental health resulting from the pandemic was a approach provided by the services of the Psychosocial Care Network throught Brazil. Mental health professionals will have to adapt and face the demands that will arise over the two yeays of 2020, 2021 and 2023, incorporating coping strategies into their work practices. In order to examine the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic on the work dyamics of the CAPSi multiprofessional team, na exploratory qualitative research was carried out through semi-structured interviews with the 8 professionals who make up the CAPSi located in Itaguai, in Baixada Fluminense do Rio de Janeiro. The interviews were transcribed, analyzed for their contente and correlated with the information obtained in the bibliographic review. The results shows the emergence of new approaches in the professionals work processes, as well as a reduction in the articulation between the sectors. School calendars have a significant impact in these services, facing differents challenges every year. These results can support the planning of actions in emergency situations in public health and provide information to guide services in the post-crisis period.
